
First attempt at an afterburner effect using planes.

The effects work well but at a certain angle you can tell the trick, so discarding this one.

Second attempt using geometry.

It's fine from far away but it's too solid looking.


The next logical solution is a shader.

Third solution using a ramp shader.





Definitely the best one!
